Trinity House vessel MAIR was seen alongside Trinity Pier
She looks like she was built as a Fleet Tender for the Royal Navy.
Does anyone have any info about her?

The following has been copied from the Trinity House web site:
Beyond our own purpose built vessels Trinity House has access to a
network of proven subcontractors around the coast of England, Wales and the Channel Isles, including the west coast based launch MV Mair. |

I also saw her on Sunday and have been unable to find out any details so let's hope someone has some more information. She is not in Lloyds Register 2006/7 either. _________________ Regards Thameswatcher (David) |

This evening she is moored in the corner of Trinity Pier near Harwich Quay, and I saw someone on deck who told me the original name.
She was a Clovelly Class fleet tender called HORNING, with a pennant number A1773.
Built in 1973 by Richard Dunston, Hessle, Humberside.
She had 30 other sisters, and the design was slightly different to the original Aberdovey Class in that they all have the wheelhouse raised a full deck above the main deck. The earlier boats, including Fintry, were built with 220VDC electrical systems; the later ones have AC systems. The Aberdoveys and Clovellys are all named for small towns in the UK.
