Web site wins prestigeous award. (25/07/08) |

Harwich Haven Ships and Yachts has been awarded a prestigeous Silver Maritime Web Award.
The Maritime Web Site Award scheme exists to promote the maritime world on the internet. Sites are judged on the informative, interesting and accurate maritime content of the site, as well as speed of loading and easy navigation around the site.
The granting of a Maritime Web Award (whether gold or silver) is at the sole discretion of the judges in England, but already many sites from countries around the world have won Gold and Silver awards. Winners are informed after the website has been visited to see if it meets the award criteria as well as being listed on our Maritime Web Award Winners pages.

Yesterday, the ZHEN HUA 19 arrived at the Trinity terminal with 2 more ship to shore container cranes from the Zhen Hua base in Shanghai.

ZHEN HUA 16 arrived on the Landguard terminal around 1230 today.
She is delivering a new gantry from Shaghai for the rail service. |

Harwich welcomes members of World ship Society (10/05/08) |

Harwich Haven Ships and Yachts welcomes members of the World Shp Society to Harwich for their 61st AGM this weekend at the Cliffe Hotel.
Amoungst the various fringe activities taking place, the weekend will include a social on Friday evening, the AGM and dinner on Saturday evening and a harbour cruise on the Orwell Lady from Halfpenny pier. |

Zhen Hua 23 finally departed Felixstowe this afternoon, heading back to China with the damaged Gothenberg crane.
She is seen here heading east along the main channel.

ZHEN HUA 23 arrived back in Felixstowe from Thamesport late this afternoon and berthed on Trinity 1. The original plan is to load the 2 most southerly cranes on Trinity and move them to Landguard.

The Harwich cruise ship season got off to a flying start today with the arrival of the vintage cruise ship FUNCHAL, which was completing a world cruise.

Haven Ports Yacht Club spring series (06/04/08) |

The Haven Ports Yacht Club spring series got underway today with the first race starting off Suffolk Yacht Harbour at 10am.
The yachts raced down through Harwich Harbour with spinnakers flying in the NW'ly breeze, giving a colourful start to the sailing season.
